At Viper, we take CSR seriously across four areas: workplace, environment, community, and governance. We aim to contribute positively to society, treat employees fairly, and foster a culture that supports health and wellbeing.

We conduct all business with integrity, complying with standards, policies, and legislation. Environmentally, we are committed to becoming carbon neutral, reducing our footprint and investing in carbon sequestration to offset what remains.

A Focus on the Development, Health, and Wellbeing of our Employees.
At Viper, we believe happy, healthy people do their best work, which is why wellbeing is at the heart of what we do. From free fresh fruit in the office to weekly yoga and monthly massages, we create little moments that make a big difference. Every team member also has access to our confidential Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), offering support with everything from mental health to financial and legal advice.
We’re passionate about sustainable choices too, with our cycle-to-work scheme promoting healthier commutes. For extra peace of mind, we also offer private healthcare. And because wellbeing is about connection as much as care, we host regular events throughout the year to bring people together and support each other.

Viper Innovations acknowledges the importance of giving back to society; therefore, we are always active in the community. We support local, educational, and environmental initiatives.

A Low Emission Business.
We have driven down electricity usage on a per employee basis for the past five years, on a year-by-year basis, and have invested in energy saving equipment and infrastructure for our offices. We do however recognise that whilst continued improvement in energy efficiency is key to achieving our carbon neutral goal, electricity consumption is not the key measurement; as we transition our pool cars to electric vehicles, electricity consumption is likely to increase on a per employee basis rather than decrease. The underlying principles of reducing energy usage and measuring our overall carbon footprint remain fundamental to our operations.
A Resilient Business.
Education is central to our values, and we’re proud to support local schools, colleges, and universities through a wide range of initiatives including work experience, internships, mentoring, and sponsorships. We believe that by sharing our knowledge and resources, we can help inspire the next generation and open doors for young people considering a career in engineering, technology, and innovation.

Our investment in education is not just about supporting the community today, it’s about building the workforce of tomorrow. By encouraging curiosity, developing skills, and providing real-world opportunities, we aim to ensure a strong pipeline of talent for the future. This helps us create a business that operates seamlessly within the industry, with skilled people ready to take on the challenges of the future.
Improve Biodiversity of Plants & Wildlife.
In July 2021, Viper purchased 31.5 acres of land near Stogumber, West Somerset, including 14.5 acres of woodland and 17 acres of pasture. The site features both mature and younger woodland (planted 2004–2006) and a small stream.
The land was acquired for carbon sequestration, supporting Viper’s goal to offset its carbon footprint and contribute to the UK’s 2050 net zero target. In partnership with the Forestry Commission, Viper will plant over 9,000 trees across most of the pasture. One field will be rewilded with wildflowers, while an existing orchid bank will be preserved.
This project will expand woodland, enhance biodiversity, and create a rich, protected habitat for wildlife.
