Viper Inspires the Next Generation Locally and Earns National Recognition

Viper Inspires the Next Generation Locally and Earns National Recognition
This month, Viper has taken part in several fantastic STEM-related initiatives, all closely aligned with our CSR strategy and our ongoing commitment to developing future talent.

In Aberdeen, Andrew Paterson, Surrinder Retour, and Niamh Carnegie attended the Oldmachar Academy Careers Fair, a joint event for senior pupils from both Oldmachar Academy and Bridge of Don Academy.

With over 50 businesses, colleges, and universities in attendance, the event was full of energy and enthusiasm. The Viper team spent the day answering questions about careers in engineering, discussing pathways into technology, and showcasing the variety of roles available across the business.

Meanwhile, in Portishead, Lewis Harris, Joseph Llewellin, and Peter Shorrock represented Viper at the Gordano School Careers Convention. This was another brilliant opportunity to promote Viper as a local employer and to inspire future engineers by discussing work experience and summer placements, T Levels, and year-in-industry opportunities which Viper proudly supports.

Building on this momentum, Viper Innovations was recognised by the UK Electronics Skills Foundation (UKESF) as one of 33 leading employers championing the development of future electronics talent through the launch of the new UKESF Skills Charter.

The full list of recognised companies includes global names such as Apple and Siemens EDA, placing Viper alongside some of the biggest innovators, an achievement we’re incredibly proud of.  This achievement perfectly complements our ongoing outreach work and reinforces Viper’s commitment to inspiring the next generation of workers.

A huge thank you to all the volunteers who gave their time to represent Viper and share their passion for engineering. Your efforts are helping to nurture future talent and strengthen the communities in which we live and work.
