Viper Innovations Wins IET Innovation Award for CableGuardian
We’re celebrating success as we were named the winner of the 2018 Intelligent Systems Innovation Award by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) on 14 November.
We were awarded the accolade for our development of CableGuardian, a technology that utilises intelligent algorithms and IOT (Internet of Things) architecture to provide real-time electrical system fault information. Benefits include automation of traditional manual testing, reduced exposure of personnel to hazards, increased system availability and a significant reduction in costs. A typical application is its use on railway signalling power supply systems.
The winners were revealed at a ceremony in London attended by over 350 finalists and engineering professionals, hosted by comedy actor and writer Sally Phillips. Finalists comprised a number of high profile and international companies and Universities. The IET’s distinctive annual Innovation Awards celebrate year on year the very best in new innovation across science, engineering and technology, showcasing entries from around the world. The Intelligent Systems Category was sponsored by Altran, a global innovation and engineering consulting firm.
